Chunk is a Check!

I have completed chunk generation! Right now its confined into a small room, but the final version will be a room that has an unlimited size! I'm also gonna work on oceans with my (very) buggy water. It will be an endless ocean, with no bottom...but bugs are ment to be fixed!! Thanks... OH! I'm also working on Creative and the menu for Exotica! The update is STILL not here! But I'm putting out a video on this channel on YouTube: reloopy268. Yeah, so thanks guys!

Alpha is comming!!

The game is hitting Alpha soon so.... I think ill give you a little prize! I've added a random number generater that gives you one big number! That number is your activation code. And it is persistent. It also won't be the same for anyone (a very, very low chance that 2 people will get the same number). Well anyway, I'm gonna give you something cool if you get the number 268! I don't know what ill give you though... but FOR SURE ill give you the full game of Exotica! FOR FREE!!! As in you don't have to donate. But to get that, send me a message on GMC(www.gmc.yoyogames.com), and show me a picture of the number. I'll need to mail everything to you, so ill need a mailing address. Stacking and Mob #1: Sheep

Ah sheep. They are soo buggy. Yet they are soo fun. I have created artifical intelligence. It was torture. Block mobs are now sheep, and block drops are now working. You can only get dirt drops though... BUT NO WORRIES! I know how to make stacks, and I'm learning how to use arrays. God bless America, I never thought I could learn arrays. That's all I say for now! Byee!!! :)

Info and Updates

We decided to move back to the development process. We have to perfect the engine first to become alpha. The next version of Exotica, our biggest version yet, will become Alpha v0.0.1. Some of the updates you will find will be:
1) Water.
2) Random Chunk Generation.
3) Inventory.
4) Crafting.
5) Free Build(Creative Mode).

That's all I can say for now, but there is over ten MAJOR updates that are comming. Ok... ill tell you 3 more:
1) Mobs
2) Save/Load
3) Menu, title, and world sizes.

New and... interesting mobs!

WOOH!!! I have created a new style of mob: Block Mob! When you break a block, there's a 1/10 chance it will spawn a Block Mob. They need a better name, so let's call them....Cubies. No, there not small. There 32 by 32, normal is 16 by 16. There are 3 types of Cubies. One is a Dirt Cubie, one is a Stone Cubie, and another is a Heat Cubie. The Dirt, and Stone Cubies are nice... but the Heat Cubie is not. That's all I can say for now! Bye!

New Stuff and Surprissssseessss

I've coded IN GAME RANDOM GENERATION!!! But... of course, it has bugs.. There's one where you speed up in the middle of the map... Yeah but its COOL! I added some CUSTOM colors with the scroll thing on the mouse, and numbers 0-9. I had to think very hard for that piece of coding... OHHH and I have a surprise for the next update! Find the Diamond. I'm coding in some Creepers from Minecraft! You have to Find the Diamond while dodging Creepers. Ha. Fun. Don't expect this update to be speedy quick. But the Creepers are only added in Find the Diamonds. The game doesn't need any Creepers. We have OTHER creepier mobs. Anyway.. Yeah. Thanks.

Clutch Ideas

Thought of more ideas for Clutch! The game would be RPG and would have leveling up. It will have a Story Mode: just completing the story, and a Normal Mode: leveling up/ more adventure stuff! All I got for today! More ideas.... today or tomorrow. Thanks!

New Game Idea!

I have been thinking of a game while debugging Exotica. It's called Clutch. It's basically about escaping the clutches of some evil person/thing. The game play is either RPG or Top Down. That's all I thought of so far. More info to come!

Crafting!!!

OMG. I think I have a good idea for crafting! Ok... so... each block has an id number. Let's say block1s id is 1 and block2s id is 2 and no id is -1.

NOOO WAIT- wait... that's pretty good.

Wow. I have been side tracked. Very sorry about that... You know... school stuff... -_- BUT!!! I have been working very hard on Water today! It was getting KINDA confusing so I looked up tutorials and stuff... but i got side tracked and ended up making a World Generator. And then I got side tracked again and added the World Generator to the Water example, added diamonds and coal. I thought," Wooooow! I'm supposed to be working on the Water..." But then I was like," Wait... I just made Village Of Resource Iv1.0.1...... YEAAAAH!" So yeah. I made Village Of Resource Indev Version 1.0.1. Today was a good day! :D Oh and the download link is coming soon! :D :D

Next Big Project...

Water is going to be finished before I do a bigger addition to the game; A Crafting Engine! I have a good idea for this:

- items have ids that represent themselves, and there stored into an .ini file.

More ideas!

The NEW ideas are:
- scary nights; monsters
- deep caverns for iron, gold, coal, rock, ext.
- tools
- getting a family/wife
- start from nothing
- gold is used for money
- interacting with the environment: dogs, sheep, cows, birds, ext.
- inventory/store resources/crafting

That's all the ideas I have for my game! It looks pretty good, I think!

Water and info

Right this moment I am working on the hardest stuff first. And that's water. WATER! It's easy without currents. So I'm not adding currents until beta version comes out. And also the game will be a 2d side scrolling game. And I'll post a vid of what I have so far in 2 days (I have registration for school). I'll keep you updated as soon as possible!

2 Changes, 1 New member

The game is now called Village Of Resource(Project VOR). It changed because the gameplay and game design was re-thought of. I also decided to make Project VOR in 2d for the Alpha/Beta versions. I don't know if it'll be top down, RPG, or side scroller... I will post what it will be in about a week. And I also got a new member on the team! The username on GMC is TheUltimate!! yeah! I'll update in a couple of days!
